VOCATIONAL EVALUATION - Phoenix provides professional vocational evaluation for private sponsors, schools, state agencies and federal agencies in Madison, Morgan, Jackson, Limestone and Cullman counties in Alabama. This includes using standardized tests, work samples and vocational exploration/situational assessments help persons set appropriate vocational goals.
WORK AND PERSONAL ADJUSTMENT TRAINING – Phoenix also provides general readiness training in actual employment settings, which prepares individuals for entry into the real world of work. As a part of this program, work is provided through Phoenix contracts in conjunction with classroom activities, case management and vocational coaching. Services are provided in Madison County.
JOB COACHING – Accompanying new employees to a variety of job sites, Phoenix job coaches assist with the transition to employment through training, accommodations and orientation. Employers may also receive tax credit for wages paid to program participants. Services are provided in Madison, Morgan, Jackson, Limestone and Cullman counties.
JOB PLACEMENT - Phoenix provides one-to-one matching of job requirements and individual skills to provide employers with qualified employees and jobs for people wanting to work, primarily those with vocational disabilities. Many employers receive tax credits for wages paid to program participants. Services are provided in Madison, Morgan, Jackson, Limestone and Cullman counties.

Subjects range from hiring practices to disability accommodation. This information advises Phoenix staff to enhance the effectiveness of Phoenix programs in vocational preparation. Businesses also provide Phoenix with job listings and feedback on Phoenix’s job readiness training, job development, job placement and job follow-up programs.
WORK SERVICES - All Phoenix employees with disabilities are offered services which may include case management, professional support, service referral, job coaching and competitive employment referral.
SOCIAL SECURITY PAYEE - Based on Social Security guidelines, Phoenix acts as the payee for Social Security beneficiaries, helping them to spend their benefits appropriately. Services are provided in Madison County.
